Natalie is a creative director and copywriter, born in Toronto, bred in New York City. She has created work for international brands at some of the most innovative and strategically creative ad agencies and tech companies in the world. Ideas are her currency and she believes both love and trust are key to making work that actually moves people. Whether it’s working with web designers in Cupertino, swimming with sharks in the South China Sea, or doing stand up in dirty clubs on MacDougal Street in Manhattan, this curious writer, photographer, stand up comic, men's fashion designer and urban planner(but only at heart) draws inspiration from the world at large. She thinks we all have the ability to make the world a better place but first, you must eat.

ACADEMICS

I’ve been schooled by some of the funniest people in comedy at the infamous Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) here in New York City, where I am now writing sketch comedy. I got schooled in Graphic Design + Art Direction at SVA (School of Visual Arts NYC) so I could help my partners and teams throughout the creative process. In Toronto, I was schooled in Creative Advertising Copywriting at Humber College and in Sociology & Communications AND Kinesiology at York University. I learned a lot. School and I are cool.

DO I HAVE ANY SIDE PIECES…YES I DO

I’m a stand up comedian in the east and west villages and write sketch comedy at UCB. I write for a couple of magazines here in New York and in Toronto, including a Men’s fashion magazine in Manhattan and a tiny infographic mag in Toronto. I take photos of things that a lot of people miss and display them in galleries from time to time, I like to share what I see. I once made a documentary about underground hip hop and rap battle leagues, I’ve written and directed a horror film, and I volunteer my time for carbon neutral initiatives and orphanage development in Asia and Africa. I also mentor young writers in Brooklyn. Highly recommend all of the above.
